Shannon Shackerley-Bennett, BA, PMP is a dynamic leader that creates results through strong communication, organizational and professional abilities. More than 25 years of progressively responsible positions with corporate, new business, and start up teams, means Shackerley-Bennett applies practical knowledge and leadership to manage risk and solve complex challenges.


Previously, Shannon was the Chief Operating Officer of a real estate development firm where she was responsible for the strategic direction and daily operation of a company overseeing $90M+ of commercial real estate holdings with over a million sq feet of build out potential.


May 2019 she was recognized and honored at the BisNow’s Bay Area Power Women event as one of 30 “dynamic women in commercial real estate for their outstanding achievements in the office, their industry, and our communities.” In that same month, Shannon also was a speaker at the 2019 NorCal and SoCal Hotal & Lodging conferences delivering a presentation explaining the “5 Steps to a High Performing Development Team”.


Shannon is the sole Owner of North Star Hotel Development, LLC that is a sister company to North Star Development. She is the Active Managing Member and serves as the Chief Executive Officer for both companies.

Elsa Nguyen, MBA is an experienced Leasing Sales Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the Real Estate industry. Before transitioning to the real estate sector, Elsa had a 15 year career that provides her with a strong financial background in various industries including telecommunication, investment, and structural engineering. Elsa is an Active Managing Member of the company and serves as the Chief Finance Officer responsible for the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Taxation compliance.

Director, Entitlements

Kelly Smith worked for Pinn Bros Construction for 14 years as a Land Entitlement Project Manager overseeing all projects in both their North Bay and South Bay divisions. Kelly is a Managing Member of the company and serves as the Director, Entitlements responsible for project management throughout the permitting and approvals process with the City and the Department of Real Estate.



General Counsel

The Principal, Mr. Mitch Miller, has been retained to provide counsel given his vast experience with a wide range of sectors, including real estate and development, hospitality, construction, and information technology.  

He is an active advocate in community and trade organizations and serves on the Sustainable Business Institute’s board of directors. He also is former general counsel and director of the International Angels Investors, and founder and former treasurer of Community Housing Developers, Inc., a non-profit developing affordable housing for seniors, disabled individuals and others.

Mr. Miller has received an AV rating from his peers for preeminent legal abilities and excellent ethical practices. He is one of the country’s most widely published attorneys and sought after speakers on numerous hospitality related issues.

Chartered Professional Accountant

Mr. Tim Ulen has been retained to provide tax preparation and advice. He is a tax partner at Petrinovich Pugh & Company, LLP (PP&Co), a public accounting firm with offices in San Jose and Santa Cruz. He helps private business owners develop strategies to minimize taxes and accomplish their financial and non-financial goals. Tim serves clients in a wide range of industries and leads PP&Co’s Real Estate Practice Group because he specializes in working with real estate landlords, developers, and investors.
